All questions at the public meeting that day were about life beyond the grave.
The Master only laughed and did not give a single answer.
To his disciples, who demanded to know the reason for his evasiveness, he later said, "Have you observed that it is precisely those who do not know what to do with this life who want another that will last forever?"
"But is there life after death or is there not?" presisted a disciple.
"Is there life before death? - that is the question!" said the Master enigmatically.

So true my friend, so true... there is so much magic in letting each day unfurl like a new leaf, with nothing more than a commitment to be 'present' in every now moment between arising and retiring... sometimes it's so full, I cannot keep up...

I think I'm with you... 'must' is a strong word... I prefer "choose not to speak..too" I didn't notice it before.. and of course I agree, life is better lived ... death I will attend to later and I worry not, becuase in this I have no choice... nor am I the first...
