Lilla1st Prize for 60's get-up!

I didn't end up going as either Janis Joplin or Cher.
I gave the Cher wig to my Husband and went as myself in the end - which was probably what Janis would've wanted anyway - ...ordinary hippy with groovy clothes, shades, big metal Peace-symbol and head band! I gave the jjoint to my husband too and together with a red head band he looked like something out of a Cheech and Chong movie.
I don't know what I looked like (because I didn't check the mirror before I left), but we won 1st prize as Cheech and Chong.... Now I don't know if it was because they were too sober to think of anything original for my role and wanted him (my husband) to win the prize (because he blew everyone away), or because I looked like Cheech or Chong.... God knows, I'll have to get a movie out and check (my mustache) and look in the mirror....*chuckle*
There was another couple dressed as Sonny and Cher and they were good, so it all worked out okay, I think....because we shared first place with them.
The prize was an iridescent glowing yo-yo.... the kids love it.
That 60's music is so w-i-e-r-d man! I liked the John Lennon selection, but had to wonder when I caught myself moving about to I'm 'enery the Eighth I am I am, I'm 'Enery the eighth I am ... how do you dance to that!!! *lol*
I did remember a lot of the tunes though and enjoyed the trip down memory lane....
It's a great Party Theme for those of you short of ideas...
